Medion has launched an 11.6-inch notebook based on AMD's Neo platform
and it looks like a pretty interesting, yet affordable piece of kit.
It's powered by AMD's Sempron 210U processor clocked at 1.5GHz, and
features integrated Radeon X1250 graphics. The IGP should easily cope
with the 11.6-inch, 1366x768 display and it packs HDMI and VGA outs, as
well. The rest of the spec is netbookish, 1GB of RAM and 160GB of
storage.
You also get Bluetooth, draft-n wireless, Ethernet, an SD card reader, 1.3MP webcam
and three USB ports. You can choose between a 6-cell and a 9-cell battery,
and it ships with XP, at least for the moment.
The 1312 should appear in stores on July 12th, and should retail for just under €400 on the continent, or £339 on the fish-and-chips-loving side of the Channel.
