It seems like Lenovo is ready to jump aboard the „slim train“ with their latest announcement of the T400s. The T400s comes witha a 14-inch' screen; the device is only 0.83 inches thick and weighs less than 4 pounds (that's 2.11cm and 1.82kg metric).

Lenovo used solid-state hard drives and carbon-reinforced fiber frame in order to keep the size and weight down and the company seems to be keen on offering users a pretty wide selection of equipment they'd like in their pets.

The T400s will come with a choice between Intel's 2.4GHz and 2.53GHz Core 2 Duo processors, up to 128GB of SSD storage or up to 250GB hard disk storage and a 9.5mm slim DVD burner or Blu-ray player.

It will support dual monitors thanks to the DisplayPort and VGA connectors, and there’s also a USB/eSATA port. The rest of the features are Ethernet, WiFi and a 34mm Express Card slot or 5-in-1 card reader with WiMAX3, WWAN 3, Bluetooth as options.

The company claims nearly 6 hours of battery life but we’ll wait on some testing before we concur with anyone’s battery estimates. The ThinkPad T400s is available now and it starts at $1,599.
