MSI has announced yet another notebook in its GX gaming series, the GX723. The new GX723 comes with MSI's ECO and Turbo Drive engine technology, which overclocks the CPU when the notebook is in AC mode, or downclocks it when working on battery mode.

The new GX723 has 395 x 278 x 26.5-35mm and weighs 3.2kg. It comes with a 17-inch TFT LCD screen with a 1680x1050 maximum resolution and Nvidia's Geforce GT 130M graphics card with 512MB of dedicated DDR3 memory. It is based on Intel's PM45+ICH9M chipset and will be available with wide choice of Intel Core 2 Duo CPUs.

The rest of the spec includes up to 4GB of DDR2-800MHz memory in two SO-DIMM slots, Gigabit LAN, HD audio with 5 speakers, optional Bluetooth V2.0 with EDR, 802.11bgn WiFi, either 320 or 500GB SATA hard drive, 2.0M web cam, and DVD Super-Multi or Blu-ray DVD. It has HDMI and D-Sub outputs, three USB ports, one e-SATA/USB combo port and one LAN port.

The new GX723 will be available with either six or nine cell battery, while the price depends on the configuration.
