No upgrades

Microsoft is facing a revolt from users who are angry that the company is not doing enough to upgrade its IE7 browser. According to Computerworld a blog post by a Microsoft program manager has turned into a free-for-all taking Redmond to task for upgrading IE7 as promised.

Tony Chor, the group program manager, had intended his blog to be a cheery PR number celebrating IE7's first year. However, he did not mention plans to upgrade the browser. Users slammed Microsoft for not living up to a promise that it would upgrade Internet Explorer more frequently.

Bill Gates said that six years between the release of IE6 and IE7 was too long an interval, then said Microsoft would crank out a new edition of Internet Explorer every nine to 12 months.
