And a new headset

Microsoft has revealed two new Webcams and a new headset, the first two going under the names of LifeCam VX-5000 and VX-500, and the latter being the LifeChat LX-2000.

The LifeCam VX-5000 features a new type of flexible stand that allows for the VX-5000 to be used with both desktops and notebooks. It features a 640x480 resolution and a built-in microphone. The VX-5000 also features a LiveCall button on top of the camera and will be available in black with a colored ring in either Lucky Green, Fire Red or Cool Blue.

Not many details have been revealed about the VX-500 besides it being very compact. The LifeChat LX-2000 is a neck-band type headset which can be folded together for ease of portability and it features an in-line volume control and mic on/off switch.

The VX-5000 will be available in June for US$49.95, the VX-500 and LX-2000 will both be available later this month, with the VX-500 will retail for US$16.95 and the LX-2000 US$29.95.
