CEBIT 2007: A new consumer sound card competitor

Among the
impressive list of products that Asus show us at CeBIT 2007 there is a one which has caught our attention.

Xonar D2 and D2K are sound cards built around the inhouse made audio chip: ASUS AV200 HD Audio Processing unit. The cards have 7.1 outputs, digital in and out and it's supporting Dolby and DTS standards.
Asus claims that the card is capable doing more that 120 dB signal to noise ratio and it is a direct competitor of Creative's X-Fi range of products.
