Games Convention 07: Multiplies OpenGL performance

AMD has a new driver that will significantly increase the performance of the FireGL cards that they just launched, based on HD 2000 generation.

The new driver will multiply the performance in a few application by a few times and we learned that Nvidia Quadro team was not happy with what have they seen at Siggraph conference.

This might be the new dawn for the FireGL and the soon to come R600 based FireGL with 512, 1GB and 2 GB will definitely boost the sales and offer some serious compatition.

We don't know the release date of the new driver but it should be ready by October the latest, at least we believe so.
