According to sources, French DJ David Guetta has supposedly let the cat out of the bag that a sequel for the DJ Hero franchise is already in production; and Guetta is participating in the development of said title, which for the moment is known simply as DJ Hero 2.

The fact that Guetta is going to be involved in DJ Hero 2 isn't surprising, given the fact that he contributed work to the first title in the franchise. There is no word on how much he will be involved in the development of the sequel.

What really is the surprise here is that Activision would be moving so quickly to get another DJ Hero title out so soon. From what we know, while Activision didn't consider the sales of the first DJ Hero a disappointment, it didn't sell as well as the company would have liked and sales were slower than expected for the title. While no one is talking about a release date, we suspect that it is likely planned for the 2010 holiday season at the soonest.
