Freezing issue with Champions Pack 2

EA Sports has been forced to pull the recently released download content for Fight Night Round 4 that arrived in the Xbox Live Marketplaces last week until a pesky freezing issue is fixed. The download content pack known as the “Champions Pack 2” is one of the second such major download packs of content.

According to EA Sports, the freezing issue that players are experiencing will need a patch that will require the fixed version of the Champions Pack 2 to once again go through Microsoft’s approval process before being re-released back into the Xbox Live Marketplace.

For those who have already downloaded the Champions Pack 2, a workaround is available that will allow players to continue to play with the new content. The only problem is with the workaround, if you have items that you have not yet purchased, they will not be able to be unlocked until the fix is released.

While EA Sports is unhappy with the fact that users are having problems, the freezing problem was unforeseen, according to our sources, and did not show up during the testing of the DLC before it was approved for release. The goal currently is to have the fixed version through the approval process and back up for download before the end of the holiday season. According to our sources, it seems that the issue only affects the Xbox 360 version, and the PlayStation 3 version does not seem to be having the same problem.
