It would be something Forza 3 doesn't offer

It seems that Gran Turismo 5 just can't seem to stay out of the news these days, as many PlayStation 3 fans continue to point to the upcoming racing title as offering much more than Xbox 360 owners are seeing with the recently released Forza 3.

While rumors are running wild, unconfirmed reports are now saying that developer Polyphony Digital will introduce a track editor with Gran Turismo 5. From what our sources tell us the track editor that would be included with the game, which would allow the player to design tracks from scratch or edit tracks that are set to be included with the game. This is a feature that is not offered by Forza 3, and would be a definite “one up” over its main competitor.

While no one is going to officially comment about this on the record, our moles suggest that it is technology that the developer has been working on for some time, but our insiders claim that they are still not 100% sure that it will see the light of day in the final release of the game. From the latest reports that we hear, the game is slated to be launched in March 2010 in Japan first, with a North American and U.K. release to follow.
