While Microsoft still isn’t talking about what the special surprise could be after the latest update for the Xbox 360 is released, we think that it is likely that the special surprise that will follow the update could be none other than the “Halo Waypoint” destination for everything Halo.

Originally Halo Waypoint has been talked about for some time, but no real release details ever seem to emerge. Now, our sources are telling us that the Halo Waypoint will actually arrive on November 5th for everything Halo. The Halo waypoint will also track your career mode progress for those that take playing Halo very seriously.

Don’t get too comfortable with it, however, as the Halo Waypoint will only be available to both Silver and Gold Xbox Live subscribers for a short time. Starting on November 26th, the Halo Waypoint will become an exclusive only for Xbox Live Gold members.

From what we have seen of Halo Waypoint so far, it is quite good and very useful for the Halo fan. While it might seem strange that Halo needs to have its own area dedicated to one game, Halo players will like the attention and information that the Halo Waypoint section provides across all of the Halo titles.
