Making Sony No.1 risk-taker

In a video interview with Forbes, Jack Tretton, the boss of Sony Computer Entertainment America discussed the company's competition and why Sony is the top risk-maker in the pack and revealed a few truths we haven't been aware of so far.

Mr. Tretton said how his company takes more risks than Nintendo because Nintendo knows its strengths and plays them. He added how they deliver "a casual, youth oriented entertainment experience, it's very enjoyable after 20 years, and they make money. They print money.", which is probably the best Nintendo description ever to come from the opposing front.

As for Microsoft's qualities, Mr. Tretton said how he loves their money [c'mon, Balmer is a cutie pie sub.ed] and how "Microsoft has more money than God". While we have never audited divine savings accounts we're sure that a person as knowledgeable on all things monetary surely wouldn't lie to us.

Mr. Tretton concluded saying that this leaves Sony somewhere in the middle, as the company's limited financial backing doesn't allow for using Microsoft's business model where they can wait longer to turn profit, how Sony caters "to a more mass market audience" and is willing "to take a little bit more risk than a competitor like Nintendo".
