Glitch planted in Arkham on PC to make the point

Developers are always looking at new and sometimes more aggressive ways to protect their content. The latest tale comes from news that the version of Batman: Arkham Asylum contains a glitch that was planted by the developers for those who try to play a cracked version of the game on the PC platform.

From the stories that we seen in the Edios forums, developers have acknowledged the hook in the game that causes Batman to fall down into the poisoned gas and die when it fails a copy protection hook that was intentionally placed into the code.

We have to take our hats off to the developers at Rocksteady for coming up with a new way to thwart piracy. In addition, it is also pointed out in the thread that the PC version of  Batman: Arkham Asylum isn’t even due for release till the 15th of September. It just seems that pirates will never learn; but this time around, they are getting what they deserve. BIFF!!  POW!!! Score one for Batman!
