Release still targeted for holiday season

We have been hearing whispers for quite some time that Michael Jackson had a new video game in development for the major console systems in conjunction with his MJJ Productions Company prior to his untimely death.

It seems now that our sources are confirming to us the existence of such a console title that is said to feature both his likeness as well as his speech. Of course, the game also uses a variety of his hit songs. According to what we have been told by our sources, the title was already in development for several months and a holiday release was targeted for this year.

With Jackson’s recent death, it was thought that the release might be placed on the back burner. Instead, our sources are telling us that because of Jackson’s love of video games it is still on track to be released this holiday season.

At this point we have been unable to confirm who will be the publisher and the distributor of the title when it is ready for release. It seems that at the moment everyone is quite closed mouthed about the content of the game beyond confirming that it does exist and it is in development. We also have no idea which systems the title is targeted to be released on.

It could be interesting to see what the title is all about, as according to our sources it was one of the main projects that Michael was working on before his death, along with the preparation for an upcoming tour.
