It seems that our sources jumped the gun over the weekend when they whispered in our ear about the pricing for the Big Surf Island downloadable add-on for Burnout Paradise.

Either we were not paying attention or the whispers were so soft that we missed it. We have now been able to confirm that the Big Surf Island downloadable add-on for Burnout Paradise will cost more than expected, but not as much as we first suggested.

Xbox 360 owners will be able to get Big Surf Island for just 1000 Microsoft Points, while PlayStation 3 owners will be able to pick it up for just $12.99. Our pricing revisions bring the price down to a bit more palatable level, which should make those considering the buy a bit happier.

We did get the achievements right and it will still arrive for download starting on June 11th, as we have told you previously. It seems that the pricing did bounce around a bit, but it was between the $10 price point and the $12.99 price point. It just goes to show you that when it comes to pricing, everything isn’t what it might first seem; and besides, there is no spoon.
