Exhibitors seem pleased with the changes

According to the information that was released by the ESA, E3 in its latest revised format was very successful, with over 41,000 people attending the show this time around. The best news might be, however, that E3 will return on June 15th through June 17th, 2010 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in the same format as this time.

According to what we have been hearing over the weekend, publishers were very pleased with E3 this time around and the event seems to now be back on track to meeting the needs of the publishers as well as the media to put together an event that works for all involved.

The big guns at the show seem pleased, and are looking forward to next year. The real question is if the ESA will be able to control the show in such a way that the cost to do the show does not get so far out of hand again that the publishers are unhappy. Let’s face it, if the publishers are not getting their money’s worth out of the event in media coverage, as well as getting the buyers to the event, there really is no reason to spend the kind of money that it costs to do an event such as E3.
