Blizzard’s PR manager has officially announced that the company won't be “attending or participating in E3 2009”. On the other hand, he said that Activision will present at the show, which is a bit confusing.

Activision has skipped E3 2008, but confirmed that the company will attend this year’s show when the show regains the “flashy format” that it lacked in 2008. Blizzard’s last E3, on the other hand, was in 2007 but the company has its own ace – Blizzcon, so it doesn’t really need E3.

We’re yet to see whether we’ll be seeing snippets of Blizzard’s upcoming game line-up, but it might very well happen that gamers will have to wait until August and Blizzcon.
