So it is now official: the Beatles will be coming to Rock Band with newly remastered tracks and all of the fun songs of the mop top lads. Word also reached us today that in addition to the standard version, a limited edition version will also be available when the game launches on September 9th for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii platforms.

According to our sources and also confirmed by others, the limited edition version will be called “Limited Edition Premium Bundle” and it will include the game itself, a Hofner Bass controller, Ludwig branded Beatles drums with a pearl finish, a metal kick pedal, vintage replica drumhead and a microphone stand.

While GameStop is said to not have an exclusive on the Limited Edition Premium Bundle, we are being told that those that book their pre-order with GameStop will get some additional special content; but what the special content is we do not yet know. What we do know, however, is that the Limited Edition Premium Bundle is expected to sell for $250, which is a lot more than just the game.
