The next title up for the Days of Arcade for Xbox 360 will be the new OutRun Online Arcade. The new version of the classic OutRun will be available for download on Xbox Live Arcade starting April 15th for 800 Microsoft Points.

While Sega has released other versions of OutRun previously for the original Xbox, the new OutRun Online Arcade takes the franchise in new directions, with new online multiplayer support over Xbox Live for up to six players. In addition, OutRun Online Arcade will offer the choice of several game modes, including: OutRun, Heart Attack and Time Attack. Of course, OutRun Online Arcade will add voice chat support over Xbox Live and online leader boards to track your progress against your friends.

While some will question the need to upgrade to OutRun Online Arcade because they already own previous versions of the OutRun franchise from the original Xbox that are backward compatible on the Xbox 360, this version offers many of the new Xbox Live features that players have wanted for a long time; and that alone could likely be the reason that the title will do well once it is released on Xbox Live Arcade for the first time.
