Before the official launch

Capcom launched a first Resident Evil 5 patch, although the game won’t hit the shelves until 13th of March. Still, this is not just a classic patch that introduces fixes, but rather a patch that will introduce a Mercenary Online Mode.

Mercenary Mode was so far available only for LAN Coop mode, and this patch will allow users to play online as well.

IGN.com confirmed the update for Xbox 360 consoles as well, whereas PC and PS3 will get theirs by Friday 13th.
