So successful they go back to the well again

Microsoft has decided to launch another “Days of Arcade” promotion for Xbox Live Arcade. The promotion, which focuses on downloadable titles for Xbox Live Arcade, was so successful and popular the first time around the company has gone back to the well to stick with what works.

The Days of Arcade will officially kick off on third week of March and last six weeks in all. As with the previous Days of Arcade promotion, each week will highlight a different Xbox Live Arcade title, so six titles in all will be released; plus our sources tell us that one additional title will be added during one week to double the fun, so the total count will be seven upcoming titles to be released.

The titles that we know about for the Days of Arcade promotion this time around include:

* The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai from Microsoft
* Flock from Capcom
* Hasbro Family Game Night from Electronic Arts
* Lode Runner from Microsoft
* Outrun Online Arcade from Sega
* Puzzle Quest from 3D Publishing
* UNO Rush from Microsoft

Variety seems to be a big part of the theme for the promotion this time around. The types of titles that have been selected to be part of the promotion run from one end of the spectrum to the other. There seems to be something for every gamer’s taste this time around.

Many of the titles that have been announced for the promotion have been previewed in some form or another, so the fact that they are finally getting released isn’t really a surprise in some cases. UNO Rush is expected to be quite popular, as the original UNO on Xbox Live Arcade still remains as one of the most popular titles released to date.

Many are also looking forward to the release of the new updated Lode Runner as well as Sega’s Outrun Online Arcade, which has received a lot of attention in previews. The quirky title, The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai, is also likely to draw some attention, as well.

The Days of Arcade will kick off on March 18th and it has been announced that the title Hasbro Family Game Night from Electronic Arts will lead the charge. The Hasbro Family Game Night features four classic board games that have been packaged together and which will likely include Yahtzee, Battleship, Sorry, and Connect Four; but rumors continue that Boggle might be part of the package, too.
