Will likely be a Jasper, but not 100% confirmed

More details on our conformation of the Red Xbox 360 Elite bundle that we told you about yesterday are starting to take shape. The official name for the bundle is “Xbox 360 Elite Limited Edition.” Still, we expect that most retailers will call it the “Xbox 360 Elite Resident Evil 5 Bundle.”

Since yesterday, we are now pretty sure that at least in North America the Red Xbox 360 Elite Limited Edition will not be exclusive to a specific retailer or store chain at this time. In fact, we stopped in a local Game Stop today and were told that we could pre-order the Red Xbox 360 Elite Limited Edition today for $399, although the sales clerk called it the Xbox 360 Elite Resident Evil 5 Bundle deal.

As for what is included, we can confirm that everything that is in the current version of the Elite is included with the Red Xbox 360 Elite Limited Edition; and it will have a 120GB HD, a single wireless red controller, black wired headset, LAN cable, and an HDMI/component video cable.

The Xbox 360 Elite Limited Edition will be bundled with Resident Evil 5 and a code for a download of Super Street Fighter 2 HD from Xbox Live. A code for a Resident Evil 5 Premium Theme will also be included for download from Xbox Live in the box as well. Just in case you are wondering, it will be bundled with the standard edition of Resident Evil 5, not the collectors’ edition.

As for delivery, the Game Stop store we visited indicated that they hopefully expect the consoles to be in stock for those that pre-order on March 13th, but it is possible that if you don’t pre-order you might have to wait a week or so until they get more in stock. However, we were told that the console will be limited edition as it says and supplies will be limited, but how limited we have no idea.
