From the ashes of Ensemble Studios

We have received word that out of the ashes of Ensemble Studios co-founder Tony Goodman and company have formed a new development house that will be called Robot Entertainment. A number of former Ensemble employees have joined the new studio.

As to what the future may hold for the new studio or what they will be working on going forward is really anyone’s guess at the moment, as details of future projects are sketchy at this time. We have heard whispers, however, that the company does intend to get back to its roots and focus on the PC platform, rather than the console releases that they have been involved with lately.

It is expected that the company will be releasing some additional details on the future of the company and what they will be working on soon. Some are suggesting to us that the company may have something in the works that they have been able to secure from the closing of Ensemble from Microsoft. At least one of our sources says that we can expect a more detailed announcement of what they will be working on in about the same time frame as E3. We have unconfirmed whispers that it may be a MMO title that will be first up for Robot once they get the ball rolling.
