Cheyenne Mountain struggling with funding

Developer Cheyenne Mountain, the developer that is working on the new title called Stargate Worlds, is struggling with funding. The struggle has gotten so bad that employees have not been paid in 24 days as of this writing.

The situation continues to be difficult for the privately funded developer who was able to obtain the Stargate license from studio MGM. The company seems to have had everything going for it, but the reality is that it has been a tough time due to the current credit crunch; and this is what has caused the problems that have led to the recent developments of employees not getting paid for 24 days.

The company says that they have completed a successful round of beta testing and the company expected a second round to start in early 2009. The company claims that development continues to move forward.

Cheyenne has four teams that are at work on Stargate Worlds, the Stargate MMO and couple of other unannounced Cheyenne online titles. The company claims that they are seeking funding options, and as with any start up they are working hard to get through this difficult period.
