The new G-series is here

In Barcelona, Sony Ericsson announced a couple of new models and among them two new G series touch-screen phones. the G700 and G900.

Both models are bar-style designs with a touch-screen user interface. Apart from the standard touch-screen capabilities, the G series phones features a couple of finger-touch applications. Both models have 2,4 inch display, multimedia applications, FM receiver and Bluetooth.

G700 also features a 3,2 megapixel camera with image stabilizer and 3x digital zoom. It packs 160MB of internal memory and, for those who crave more, Memory Stick Micro (M2) slot for additional memory.

Its dimensions are 106 x 49 x 13mm and weighs 99 grams.

G900’s dimensions are identical to G700's, but it features a 5 megapixel camera with 3X digital zoom, image stabilizer and auto-focus. What really separates this phone from the pack is that you can choose what you want to zoom in on with a simple touch of your finger. This model features 802.11b/g WiFi.

Working frequencies are SM/EDGE 900/1800/1900, as well as 2100MHz HSDPA.
