Only to potential customers though

Qualcomm’s
new, third-generation Snapdragon chipsets are present at Computex, but the company refuses to give sneak-peeks to pretty much anyone who’s not a potential customer. We’re talking about third-gen Mobile Station Modem MSM8260 and MSM8660 Snapdragon chipsets for high-end smartphones.

The chipsets are capable of running up to 1.2GHz and both come with GPS, GPU for 2D and 3D accelerated engines for OpenGL ES 2.0 and Open VG 1.1, 1080p video encoding and decoding support, 24-bit WXGA 1,280x800 resolution, etc. The MSM8260 comes with HSPA+ whereas the more advanced MSM8660  features both HSPA+ and 1xEV-DO Rev. B.

Engadget managed to find out that unlike the current chips, which feature one application and one modem core, the new chips feature two application cores and one modem core. Perhaps an even more interesting nugget of info is that the company has hinted at faster versions by the end of the year and these should be featured in larger devices, probably tablets and similar format devices.
