A new business phone

Motorola announced its new business class phone codenamed MC55 EDA. This Smartphone runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 platform and is based on Marvell Xscale processor at 520MHz.

What makes it particularly interesting is that it’s a mobile phone, bar code scanner, 2MP autofocus digital camera and a two-way radio all in one device.

It will come in two flavors – MC5574 and MC5590. Both versions come with 3.5 inch touch screen, 2MP autofocus camera, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi and VoIP and PTT support. The difference between these two is that MC5574 features Wireless WAN support and a full QWERTY keyboard, whereas the MC5590 comes with a standard 12 key keypad.

MC5574 should hit the market in 2H 2009, but pricing is still unknown.
