Android gets SDK 1.1_r1

Newer APIs and an emulator

 

Google announced that a new SDK version for Android is available for developers.

Version 1.1 release 1 features new APIs (Application Programming Interface) as well as a new emulator, which will enable testing the apps you might have developed.

The emulator also features advanced ability to test localizations in German language, whereas other language localizations are to follow in next SDK versions.

Note that the apps developed in previous versions will run just fine on Android 1.1.
