Apple has released an update for its iMac computer that fixes a problem with the computer freezing.
In a press release, the company said that the update is recommended for 20-inch and 24-inch iMac models with 2.0 2.4, or 2.8GHz processors. Both iMac Software Update 1.3 (
Leopard) and iMac Software Update 1.2 (
Tiger) are available from Apple’s Web site.
The problem of screen freezes was caused by a software update that Apple had issued. The company admitted that there was a problem in early October ,which made the iMac unusable without a hard reset. Apple wants customers to install the update via the Software Update mechanism or the download link.
