Nach unserem ausführlichen Test über den QX9650 haben wir uns entschieden, das günstigste Quad-Core Angebot von Intel unter die Lupe zu nehmen. Der Q6600 ist in zwei Ausführungen erhältlich, im B3 und G0 Stepping. Das G0-Stepping ist dem B3-Stepping überlegen, vor allem die thermischen Spezifikationen betreffend. Es verträgt höhere CPU-Temperaturen (TCase), bietet besseren thermischen Schutz und hat einen niedrigeren mittleren Leistungsverbrauch.
