More than $1.5 billion in R&D
IBM Corporation says that it is increasing the amount it is spending on developing new security products to euro 1.04 billion in 2008. This figure is believed to be twice what the company is currently spending.
In a press release, Big Blue said that it is integrating technologies from products it has in-house. The plan is to offer broader security packages so that its customers can reduce the number of providers they need to hire to protect their data.
