HTC Touch Pro up for pre-order

In the U.K.

Play.com has expanded its range of products over the years since this online retailer started peddling games from its Website, and it appears that they're now the first company to take pre-orders for the upcoming HTC Touch Pro.

If you haven't kept up with unannounced HTC products, then think of it as an HTC Diamond plus keyboard. The design is slightly different and the device is, of course, thicker to accomodate the keyboard.

It's packed full of features, such as a 528MHz Qualcomm processor, 256MB of RAM, 512MB of ROM, a microSD card slot, 7.2Mbit HSDPA, 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, GPS, FM radio with RDS, a 3Megapixel camera, TV-out, a 3.5mm audio jack and, of course, HTC's Touch Flow UI.

Play.com is taking pre-orders now for a steep £549.99 (€689.50/$1,095.60), although this is for a contract free handset, which is generally always more expensive; and it does, of course, include 17.5 percent VAT. Play.com is expecting to start shipping handsets on the 29th of August.

You can place your pre-order here.
