Nokia announces 7070 Prism

A cheap but stylish clamshell

Nokia's official website recently listed several new models, and among them the new model from its Prism series. This time it’s a flip-phone dubbed 7070.

The dimensions are 87.5 x 44 x 15.8 mm, and it weighs only 78 grams. This model packs a 1,8-inch display with 128x160 resolution and 65K colors. Its working frequencies are GSM 900/1800 or 850/1900MHz, depending on the region.

Although being in the Prism series and all, it should be a successor to 7900 (design-wise at least), this model doesn’t quite offer the features its predecessor does. So, we’d put it in a lower class.

It looks like Nokia built this phone for users that need a cheap phone with basic functions but impressive looks. The phone should hit the shelves in Q3, and much to our surprise – should cost only €50.

You can find out more about this phone here.
