Today
LG announced their new touchscreen mobile phone, the AX830 Glimmer. This phone will be available for U.S. users through the Alltel network. This is a slider with a 2.8-inch touch screen and a touch-based user interface.

We don’t know the full dimensions, but we know it weighs 127 grams and that it's 15mm thick. It has a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth and a microSD HC slot. The Glimmer supports high-speed data using Alltel’s EV-DO networks.

There’s no mention of other information on the Korean Websites, but we’re guessing there will be a media player as well as other must-have features.

Availability date and pricing are as yet undisclosed.
