€688 in Austria

The iPhone officially launches in Europe on Friday, but some people just couldn't wait, and two small Austrian retailers have listed the unlocked phone on their sites already.

Malle computer has just three in stock and it's selling them for €688, while easymobiles.at says it will have the iPhone ready for shipping in 5 days, after the official launch.

These are probably the first official retail prices for unlocked phones to appear in this part of the world, and although they seem a bit steep, €668 is nothing compared to the combined total contract cost of €1,600 on Germany's T-Mobile network. Fuad wrote about the T-Mobile pricing here, and you can get an a contract free iPhone here and here.
