Next Generation Motorola Razr2 phone comes of age

Motorola Inc.’s Razr second-generation flip phone the MotoRazr2 will be shipping soon within the U.S. 

Sprint Nextel Corporation issued a release indicating that they have the best price at US$249 (based on a 2-yr. service agreement and standard voice and data) and that this new model is the only one with video viewable on both the inside and outside screens of the flip phone. 

Verizon will offer the MotoRazr2 for US$300 (after a $50 rebate and based on a 2-yr. service agreement), while AT&T will offer the phone features in a model labeled the V9 for US$300 based on a 2-yr. service agreement. 

Motorola said that Alltel Corp., T-Mobile USA Inc. and U.S. Cellular Corp. will also offer one model of the MotoRazr2, but details were not available.  Sprint says it will be the first to offer the MotoRazr2 online beginning on August 22nd.
