Asus R.O.G. Maximus pricing turns up

Written by test

For the Formula SE version

Hardwareschotte.de lists pricing and specifications of the upcoming ASUS Republic of Gamers Maximus Formula Special Edition motherboard and it also confirms that this is the first X48 board to appear.

If the information posted is correct, then this board will only have two x16 PCIe slots as well as three x1 slots and two PCI slots. Although it seems to us that some of the information might have got jumbled up, as they're listing it as a DDR2 board.

There are no pictures, nor does any of the companies that will aparently have stock of this new board. No-one seems to list an availability date either and all the information from the retailers lists it as an X38 board.

Price wise this has to be one of the most expensive motherboards for a single CPU without onboard memory, as the price is ranging from €272.11 all the way to €330.00 plus shipping.
