Sony will launch a less expensive PS33 in the United States in a bid to boost its flagging sales. The new version of the PS3 will come with a 40-gigabyte hard drive, cost US$400, and will go on sale on November 2nd.
The 40-gigabyte model has already been seen in Europe and Japan. The company also cut the price of its highest-capacity model by about 17
percent.
Meanwhile Sony will cut the price of its 80-gigabyte version from US$600 to $500.
