Mushkin Europa III 250GB

Mushkin
is apparently quite happy with its SSD lineup and it has announced a new model, the Europa III SSD. Drive is based on MLC NAND flash memory and paired up with Samsung's S3C29RBB controller. This combination gives Mushkin's Europa some decent transfer speeds.

The first model in the Europa III series features 250GB of capacity while other models should be announced pretty soon. The Samsung S3C29RBB controller gives it transfer speeds of up to 220MB/s and 200MB/s for read and write respectively. The new Europa is still a standard 2.5-inch that features SATA II interface. The rest of the specs include 0.15W and 0.25W power draw in idle and load, and it has a MTBF of one million hours.

Mushkin ships the Europa III in an aluminum case, but unfortunately it has not announced the price or the availability date.
