OCZ pulled another interesting product. It has just started selling 8GB of DDR2 at 800MHz, CL4 and it is selling it for €169.99.

The product is called 8192MB OCZ PC2-6400 CL4 QuadKIT XTC Platinum, and we learned with a bit higher voltage and a good motherboard you should be able to go over 1000MHz stable at a modest 1.8V.

Some good motherboards will do 5-4-4-18 at T2. All in all, just a year ago you had to pay at least this amount of money for quality 2 GB and today you can get 8GB.

Most of you don’t need 8GB, but at this price and with 64-bit Vista, we can definitely recommend it, if you need it, that is.
