We learned that Seagate will finally start shipping its 1TB drives this week and they should sell for a bit more than €300+ a piece.
This will enable some crazy storage setups and for example in a workstation board you will be able to add up to 12 Tera Bytes of storage as a few boards we know off have 12 SATA ports. Hitachi is already shipping its 1TB drives and finally they will get a serious competition.
We are sure that you will have trouble to fill even 1 TB but it is always possible to occupy the space.
