During a meeting with South Korean president Roh Moo-hyun his counterpart from the totalitarian North, Kim Jong Il made an interesting claim.
After the South Korean delegation requested that internet be allowed within an industrial park in the North, the communist strongman apparently said that he is an internet expert himself.
"I'm an internet expert too. It's all right to wire the industrial zone only, but there are many problems if other regions of the North are wired," said Kim, "If that problem is addressed, there is no reason not to open the internet."
While North Korea is one of the most isolated countries on the planet, with next to no communication with the outside world, its rulers seem to have regular access to the latest information and they use the net. Kim reportedly asked the US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright for her email back in 2000, and more recently a North Korean military officer cracked a joke about US president Bush, claiming he had read it on the net.
If The Great Leader's claim were true and he was indeed an internet expert, we're sure he would have no trouble finding a job in the corporate world, since he already has years of experience in misleading and oppressing people and running a totalitarian regime.
