In Q1 2010
, probably January time, Intel will unveil Clarkdale and Arrandale 32nm dual-core CPUs with hyperthreading support and an integrated 45nm IGP core.

The fastest of the desktop ones is going to end up branded as Core i5 670 and this Clarkdale 32nm processor will sell for a rather realistic $284 a piece. This is the wholesale price for 1000 pieces, but the suggested retail price is probably not going to be far off.

As this CPU supports Turbo, it will run even faster than 3.46GHz. The CPU has 4MB of cache and comes in socket LGA1156. This looks like a decent replacement for the Core 2 Duo generation that is slowly going to start retiring for in both 65nm and 45nm versions.
