Zune goes flash today

Announcement expected

 

Microsoft is expected to announce the release of a flash based second generation Zune player today. Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates is supposed to take part in the formal announcement of the new music player.

The player, which will be available in November, will be the first flash based Zune. It will measure three inches by 1.25 inches and the device will look very similar to the iPod Nano.
