U.S. mobile
service provider Verizon is expected to sign a deal with Google which would make the search outfit its default engine.

According to the Wall Street Journal the deal will give Verizon a share of ad revenue and Google access to a huge number of mobile devices. Apparently, the deal is not final and there are some issues that are proving sticking points.

Google wants to save information from user mobile phone searches while Verizon wants that data to remain private. Sticking points like this have kept the two sides at the negotiating table for a year, but the WSJ thinks it will be sorted out in a couple of weeks.
