Multimedia and kids are the future

AMD believes that Quad-core potential still has to be utilized by software guys. There are still not enough applications that can get the real use of Quad core.

But at the same time AMD believes that kids that are doing multimedia are going to be the one that will reach out for multi cores CPUs.

Today you need a good dual-core CPU to transcode video for YouTube and Facebook and like pages and it is just a matter of time when these applications will be able to get a good use of quad-cores.

Facebook and YouTube have changed the way people interact with Internet, and video became an important part. It looks that quad-core has a chance after all, but only if software guys can put it to good use.
