There is a huge shortage of Atom 230 CPUs, but Intel doesn't have much choice, as it promised to launch its dual-core Atom CPU by end of Q3 2008.

So, why not launch it on the September 21st, one of the last weeks of the quarter and Intel will sell this one for $43 if you buy a thousand pieces.

Atom, on the notebook side, is still not available in any healthy quantities and overpriced boards with an integrated Atom 230 can be found in the market.

Overall, Atom 330 is nothing more than two Atom 230 put together but dual-core in today’s world tends to make a difference, unlike quad-cores compared to duals.
