E5200 is the name

Pentium Dual-core E2220 Allendale CPU is selling quite happily for €65 in German e-tail. We are talking about a quite fast 2.4GHZ CPU with 1MB of cache and 65W TDP.

After this very attractive CPU, Intel plans to introduce 45nm Wolfdale-based dual-core to this market. The next CPU in Pentium dual-core line is called E5200 and this 2.5GHz dual-core will also use FSB 800MHz. The E5200 has 2MB cache memory, 65W TDP and probably a chance to be highly overclockable.

This is the first 45nm Wolfdale in this price range and we are sure that the future will bring even more of these CPUs to this market. It looks that Intel is doing really well with its 45nm and it hurts to see that AMD has such a tough time competing with Intel these days.
