DDR3 1333 for 3.2GHz part

Intel’s
higher clocked Bloomfield will work at 3.20GHz. It will come with 6.4 GT/s QDI memory speed and, as we have reported many times before, it will have 8M of total cache.

The CPU has four cores that support eight threads and, to our surprise, Intel officially supports DDR3 1333, whereas any faster memory matched with this new performance king will have to be overclocked in order to make it work.

We also wrote that Nehalem has triple channel memory and that for the best performance you will now need three memory modules, not two as it used to be the case.

The new CPU has 130W TDP which is a bit better than QX9770, the current performance king and the new Bloomfield will work in LGA1366 socket. I am not sure if we need to repeat it, but Nehalem is native quad-core done in 45nm with integrated memory controller, QDI intercommunication interface and eight thread support.

Nehalem comes in Q4 2008.
