Or October

Our sources have confirmed that Atom single-core shortages will continue until late Q3 and probably even in early Q4 2008.

Intel doesn’t have enough, as since it’s a hot item everyone wants to get one. Acer currently has the best position and it is possible it gets the most of the production, while Asus, MSI and all the other boys are kind of left on the side with the initial shipments.

This doesn’t mean you won’t be able to buy any Atom-based sub-notebooks but it does mean it will be very tough to get it until September.

Our sources expect that the shortage will last at least until September or even early October and once the shortage is over, the sub notebook manufacturers will simply start a price war.
